Our why
The older you get, the harder it becomes to make a new friend.
Somewhere between graduation and the next promotion, the phone stops ringing. New friendships start to feel like work — and the ones that do form can be so superficial that you end up feeling lonelier in a crowded room than you did alone. That loneliness becomes quiet, then it becomes heavy, and sometimes it becomes something darker.
We exist to change that — one connection at a time. Not another networking event, not another room of name tags and small talk, but a place where people meet like-minded people and stay.
Because sometimes, knowing it isn't just you — that someone else is in the same uncertain phase, navigating career, life, relationships and friendship — makes it all a little lighter. A safe place where you can simply be.
For the young professional juggling a career and a life that quietly slipped.
For the graduate stepping into a labour market that never sent the welcome.
Wherever you are in the in-between, this is a good place to start.
A note from the founder

Built by someone who lived the in-between.
As a young professional myself, I know the season well. The new city. The first real job. The weekends that suddenly felt long. The slow realisation that the people who once made you feel known are now scattered, and that the new ones you meet rarely get past the surface.
I built The Connect Collective because it's what I wished I had found. Not a network — a community. A room where the awkwardness of starting over is understood, where everyone is a stranger once and not for long, and where friendship isn't measured by what you do but by who you are when no one's keeping score.
If you've ever felt like you were the only one figuring it out — you weren't. And you don't have to figure it out alone.
"This is the community I needed. I hope it becomes the one you were looking for."
— Founder, The Connect Collective
